Trinity Preschool’s Parent/Toddler Program is designed to introduce young children to preschool and the world beyond family, without the anxiety of separation. Children attend classes, offered on Mondays and/or Tuesdays, where they engage in hands-on exploration, indoor and outdoor play, and have a myriad of opportunities to learn about sharing, respecting others, building friendships and how to express their needs and desires.
The program encourages toddlers to explore their creativity and begin building social skills in a fun, safe and nurturing environment. The program helps young children transition into a more structured learning environment and gain confidence in the classroom, while fostering independence. Parents/caregivers are able to discover their child’s learning style, share in spontaneous and creative experiences, and refine their parenting skills in a supportive, caring environment.
Accompanied by a parent/caregiver, children are led by a teacher through activities that mirror a typical preschool day at Trinity Preschool:
- Story Time
- Free Play
- Music
- Snack Time
- Art
The Parent/Toddler Program is open to children 16-24 months of age by September 1st of the year of entry. Classes are offered on Monday and/or Tuesday mornings.
The Parent/Toddler Program is a semester-long program (September through January, January through May).
